    Pumice Stone

    Pumice is a type of pyroclastic rock. It is derived from lava which is replete with gas. Liquid lava is ejaculated in the air in the presence of explosive volcanic eruptions. While the lava plunges down the air, it causes the lava to cool down and consequently gases leak from the rock. In the end, the rock is left with full of holes generating the pumice’s two main characteristics which are lightness and porosity. A pumice stone can absorb water as much as its self-weight.
